Eiko Furukawa Harris

Dec 23, 1926 — Feb 20, 2017

Eiko Furukawa Harris passed away February 20, 2017 with family and friends at her side. Eiko was born in Nikko, Japan on December 23, 1926 to Katsuei and Roku Furukawa. She was the eldest of seven siblings. During the Korean War she met and married Sgt. Elmer Harris, her husband of 57 years.

She was a wonderful homemaker while her children were young, later taking a job at Texas Instruments where she was honored for never missing a day of work. She also enjoyed sewing, macramé, cooking, knitting, reading, and crocheting. Eiko was blessed with a positive attitude throughout her life and always found the sunshine through the clouds.

Eiko was the wife of the late Elmer Harris; the mother of Eddie (Kelly) Harris, Anne (Bob) Leimgruber, Mary (Alec) Abt; grandmother of Brandon Leimgruber, Greyson Abt, Gregory Leimgruber; great-grandmother of Zeke and Edan Leimgruber.

The family wants to thank Coco Russell and Robin Hughes for their love and kindness, and also Elderhaus, Columbine West and Pathways Hospice for their compassion and care. There will be no service at this time.
