Ellen (Irene) Bostich

Ellen Irene Bostich, 93 of Fort Collins, CO, passed away on January 17, 2025.

Irene was born October 24, 1931, in a small farmhouse north of Laird, CO, to Webster Pilkington and Beulah (Garner) Pilkington. She grew up in the Laird and Wray communities. In 1949, she graduated from Laird High School as Class President.

Irene married Don Devlin in 1949 and lived in Wray, CO. They moved their family and Wray Plumbing & Heating Company to Fort Collins in 1955. They were blessed with six sons.

Irene re-married in January 1976 to Ray Bostich in Lake Tahoe, NV. They were married for 40 years until his death in 2015.

Irene worked with Ray at the Fort Collins Country Club until they retired in 1992. In honor of their wonderful years of service, Irene and Ray were the first recipients of a lifetime membership at the Fort Collins Country Club.

In Irene and Ray's golden years, they enjoyed golfing and dining together at the Country Club, following CSU and the Denver Broncos, and watching their family grow around them.

They also cherished spending a couple of months every year wintering in Palm Desert, CA., golfing, entertaining and spending time at the pool with their friends.

After Ray's passing, Irene moved into Rigden Farms Independent Living. She spent her last years with great friends and neighbors at the Rigden community.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents Webster and Beulah Pilkington, brothers Dwayne (Edna) Pilkington, Willard (Alice Anne) Pilkington, sisters Fern (Ralph) Deines, Connie (Jack) Haselbush, Carol Faye Pilkington, husbands Ray Bostich, Don Devlin, son Deacon James Devlin and grandson Scott Devlin.

She is survived by her sons Michael Devlin, Patrick (Lynn) Devlin, Jerald (Fatemeh) Devlin, Matthew (Kim) Devlin, and Stephen (LeaAnn) Devlin, daughter-in-law Janet Devlin, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life on April 5, 2025, at the Fort Collins Country Club from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
