Ellen Kay Watson, 65, of Timnath, CO, passed away May 21, 2022. Ellen was born December 10, 1956 in Denver, Colorado and grew up in nearby Longmont. Ellen moved to Tennessee at 16 and then made her way to Virginia Beach, Indiana and Arizona before returning to Colorado in 2006.
Ellen had a kind and generous spirit. She was artistic and applied her creative ability to drawing and crafting, as well as making beautiful gifts for friends and family. She was a talented cook and baker, and was everyone's go-to for cooking tips. Ellen loved her home renovation shows, jewelry and most importantly, family and friends. She enjoyed making people laugh and always reminded us that it's the simple things in life that make you happy.
Ellen recently got involved at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, where she found a loving and supportive community.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Betty (Tipton) and Howard Barnes. She is survived by her sons, Dana Jensen and Brad Jensen; sister Donna Hummel; brothers Brian Barnes and Larry (Neva) Barnes; and grandson, Dylan Watson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Haley Watson.
A service will begin at 11:00 am on July 16, 2022 at Broadcom's on-site park (4380 Ziegler Road, Fort Collins, CO 80525). There will be signs posted to follow. Please check back for a link for donations.
