Eloy Antonio Lopez

Eloy Antonio Lopez, 61 of Fort Collins died on August 28th 2014. He was born on April 18th 1953 in Johnstown, Colorado to Antonio M. Lopez and Rita D. (Lucero) Lopez. He was raised with his 4 brothers and 5 sisters and a wonderful sense of humor; he was known as the "Joker" to his family and friends.

Later, Eloy met and married the love of his life, Terry L. (Sanchez) Lopez. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Dounalisa M. Lopez and Elisa L. Lopez. He proudly worked throughout the Northern Colorado school system as a custodian and coach. He dedicated himself to helping kids develop athletic skills, self confidence and friendships through coaching basketball, baseball and volley- ball. Eloy was a happy, loving person that loved his family and friends and enjoyed giving them nicknames; he even named his favorite Sportster, "Mija." He had many hobbies and interests, including wrestling the "Oldies", 50's & 60's music, cars (old & new) and especially the Denver Broncos. Eloy enjoyed spending time searching for treasures in pawn shops and thrift stores. Together with his family, they treasured their favorite holiday, Halloween. Eloy was a devoted husband, loving father and amazing grandfather; he will be deeply missed!

He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Lopez and grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Rita Lopez; his wife, Terry L. Lopez; daughters, Dounalisa, M. Lopez and Elisa L. Lopez; grandson, Lelyn J. Lopez; his brother's & sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
