Elsie Irene Nuss, 94, died October 6th in Fort Collins, CO.
She was born on September 11, 1924 in Bayard, NE to Fred and Catherine (Schwindt) Yekel.
She graduated from Bayard High School in 1942. In 1948, she married Jacob Nuss and they made their home in Scottsbluff. Elsie worked for the Chrysler Dealership and later for the City of Scottsbluff as an accountant.
Elsie and Jack moved to Brea, CA in 1970 where Elsie worked for the Northrop Corporation until her retirement in 1989. At that time, they moved to Fort Collins, CO.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jacob; two sisters, Caroline Pepler and Lucille Riggs; and a brother, Clarence (Whitey) Yekel.
She is survived by ten nieces and nephews. While Elsie had no children, we would be remiss not to mention her two beloved chihuahuas, Tico and Chico, that may as well have been children.
Elsie will be remembered for her generous heart and fun-loving nature.
Services will take place in the spring of 2019.
