Eugene Zdziennicki

Eugene "Sonny" Zdziennicki, age 60 of Wellington, Colorado, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died August 15th at his home. A graveside funeral service, with full military honors will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, August 21st at Highland Cemetery in Wellington. I-25 East Frontage Road, ½ mile north of the Wellington Exit. Following the interment, a celebration of his life will be held his daughter Meredith's home at 3732 Grant Ave, Wellington CO. Eugene Ramon Zdziennicki was born September 21, 1948 in Chicago to Eugene and Charolotte Zdziennicki. He grew up in Chicago and served in the U. S. Navy during the Viet Nam war aboard the Air Craft Carrier U. S. S. Constellation. When he got out of the Navy, he married Linda Hutchinson in 1970 and together they have four children. Sonny was a Chicago Police Officer and later drove for Fullerton Trucking throughout the Chicago Tri-State area. He retired to Fort Collins in 2002. Among other notable traits, Sonny loved camping, coin collecting and shopping. Sonny is survived by his three daughters, Meredith (and William) Duvall, Danielle Catallo and Diane (and Tim) Forrest; his son, Eugene M. Zdziennicki; former wife, Linda; three sisters, Marion, Janice and Lori; six grandchildren, Dina, Joshua, Andrew, Damian, Jaquelind and Addilyne; and nephews and niece, Sean, Robbie and Kim.
