Eva M. Bowman, age 93 of Fort Collins and Grand Lake, Colorado died January 2, 2009 at a local nursing care facility.  Eva McGuire was born October 3, 1915 in Vayland, South Dakota to James and Ellen McGuire, both of Irish immigrant descent.  Eva was always proud of her 100% Irish heritage.  She graduated from Wessington (South Dakota) High School in 1935 and soon after moved to Denver. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles Bowman on May 5, 1939 at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Denver.  Eva attended Barnes College in Denver and became a bookkeeper: first for Isbell Kent Oakes Dry Goods; then Allen Manufacturing; and then for 31 years with Chevron Oil in Denver.  She and her husband bought a home in Grand Lake in 1968 and divided their time between there and Denver for many years.  In 1974, Eva retired from Chevron so she could spend more time in Grand Lake.  In 1980, they bought a home in Fort Collins, to be closer to their daughter and family, and still divided their time between their two homes.  She and Charles "Bub" enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, hiking, hunting (she did the cleaning and cooking), and boating.  She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Joseph Parish in Ft. Collins as well as St. Anne Catholic Church in Grand Lake. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Don Reed of Ft. Collins; granddaughter, Tiffany (and Tom) Hughes of Highlands Ranch; grandson, Todd (and Chris) Reed of Fort Collins; her sister, Lois Boyd of Huron, SD; five great-grandchildren, Talon Michael, Mason Dean and Kacey Eva Reed and Anna Kathleen and Joseph Charles Hughes; numerous nieces and nephews; and twelve foster children.  In addition to her husband, Eva was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Reed and by four sisters and two brothers; she was the youngest of eight siblings. A visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Tuesday at Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr., Ft. Collins.  Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 300 West Mountain Ave. Ft. Collins.  Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Joseph, followed by a luncheon in the church hall.  Interment 10:30 am Thursday at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Staging area B following which she'll be laid to rest alongside her husband. The family requests that any memorial donations please be made to St. Anne Catholic Church (in Grand Lake)  in care of Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Drive, Ft. Collins, CO  80524.
