Fone Ming Chin Leo, beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, was called home February 11, 2008 by the Lord to join her husband, parents, oldest brother and her baby daughter, Gna Hing Leo. Fone died peacefully at home on her own terms. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 22, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Local arrangements are by Goes Funeral Care. Fone Ming Chin was born on September 26, 1920 in Len Fa Oon (Lotus Flower Village)near Canton, China to Chin Moen Fee and Ng Quan Yin. She married Ping Gee Leo on February 18, 1938 at his village Hama Long Tuen in China. He returned to the United States after a short time and ten years later was able to bring Fone over to America. In 1949, they made their home in Rock Springs, WY. Fone proudly became an American citizen in 1979. In 1986, she was baptized into the Disciples of Christ, First Christian Church of Fort Collins. Ping died January 21, 1986. Fone stayed in Rock Springs until 1999 when she moved to Fort Collins, CO to live together with her daughter Gardenia. Fone was a homemaker and also worked at various restaurants. She enjoyed time with her family, cooking, knitting and walking for exercise. Fone is survived by her four daughters, Melody Leo of Seattle, WA; Gardenia Leo of Fort Collins, CO; Deanna (and husband, Richard J.) Houdek of Cheyenne, WY; Patricia Leo of Tigard, OR; grandson Richie Leo Houdek of Cheyenne, WY; her brother Kin Ming Chan and his Family of Seattle,WA; and numerous nieces and nephews in New York, NY and Smyrna, GA. Fone will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
