Frances Marie Sams Taliaferro, age 74, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at North Shore Health and Rehab in Loveland. Ms. Taliaferro was born January 21, 1942 in Chatham Co., NC, the daughter of Laren McGillian and Clatie Phillips Sams.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Taliaferro, her brother, Shelby Sizemore, and sisters Mildred Hester and Rossie Chriscoe.
Ms. Taliaferro is survived by daughters: Gina Moon of Asheboro, NC, and Catherine T. Massey and her husband Robert of Wake Forest, NC; sons: William C. "Billy" Moon Jr., of Asheboro, NC, Foster Taliaferro and his wife Tiffany of Atlanta, GA, Peyton Taliaferro and wife Patty of Loveland, CO; 8 grandchildren; sister Shirley Cross of Atlanta, GA, brother David Sams and wife Edna of Asheboro, NC.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 3:00pm at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA, with the Reverend Robert Armstrong officiating.
