Geneva Josphine Gillming

Geneva "Gen" Josephine Gillming, 90, of Fort Collins, passed away Sunday Dec. 7th 2014. Born in Amhurst, NE, Oct. 25, 1924, to Richard Reeh and Rosalena Bunsendahl, she was raised with 5 siblings. She married the Love of her life, Lawrence "Larry" Gillming, June 20 1946, and enjoyed 52 years of her life with him. Early in their marriage they had four sons in Nebraska. They moved to Fort Collins, when the boys were young, where they raised them. Later in life they spent their time between Fort Collins and Florence, AZ.

Whether gardening, feeding the birds, or observing the flowers and trees, Gen was the happiest when surrounded by nature. Her family and friends, too, gave her great joy, as well as her faith in the Lord. Gen was a devout Christian and was a member of St. John's Lutheran for over 50 years.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, son Rodney, brothers Carol and Wilbur, and sister Gwen. She will be missed by three surviving sons, Keith (Linda) of Arvada, CO, Maurice of Glenwood Springs, CO, and Don (Mona) of Sandpoint, ID, her brother Velmer (Jean) of Modesto, CA, sister Frances of Kearney, NE, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as countless friends and extended family members.

Services will be at St. John's Lutheran at 10:30 on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.
