George S. Worcester, 74 of Loveland CO passed away May 16, 2013. He was born to Bill and Letha Worcester in 1938. He married Marcia Downhour in 1960 in Ft. Wayne IN. George graduated from Longmont High School, Oberlin College, Andover Newton Seminary and Eden Seminary. His ministry brought them to UCC churches he served in Massachusetts, Kansas and Iowa and UCC conferences he served in Florida and Nebraska. After retiring he was an interim pastor in Longmont and interim conference minister for the Rocky Mountain conference. He built relationships and communities by focusing on the love which binds God's people. George was active in Plymouth UCC in Ft. Collins and the Breakfast Optimist Club of Loveland. George's passions included fishing, music, photography and carpentry. George is survived by wife Marcia, siblings John and PiperAnne, children Bill and Carol Anne, grandchildren Gina and Sam, and great-grandson Tucker. A memorial service will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church UCC in Fort Collins on Saturday May 25 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or your local UCC church or conference.
