Georgina Eveon Hererra, 76 of Loveland went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2016.
Georgina was born in Walsenburg, Colorado on April 14, 1940 to Marino and Clodovia (Duran) Cruz. She lived in Walsenburg until the age of 8 years old, then moved to Vineland. At the age of 19, she moved to Fort Collins. On May 15, 1965 Georgina married Reginaldo Herrera in Fort Collins.
Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, watching Telenovelas and spending time with her family. Georgina had a great sense of humor and brightened everyone's life that she came in contact with. She always made everyone feel welcome; always had an open door and an extra plate of food for whomever may stop by. Georgina was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandma and friend. She helped raise two of her grandchildren.
Georgina is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reggie; granddaughter, Skylar Rai Herrera; brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children, Regina Herrera of Mexico, Loretta Herrera (Isaac Ayala) of Loveland, Alfred Herrera (Autumn) of Loveland, Johnny Herrera of Loveland, Joseph Herrera (Tahirih Dejoy) of Loveland, Fabian Herrera of Pennsylvania; sisters, Edith Ramirez (Phil) of Greeley and Irene Peralta of Pueblo; numerous grand kids, great grand kids, nieces and nephews.
There was a Viewing, 11:00 AM -1:00 PM, Thursday, July 21st at Goes Funeral Care & Crematory, Inc. #E, Fort Collins. Memorial service to follow at the Vineyard Church, 900 Josephine Court, Loveland.
