Germaine (Gerry) Haselmaier, age 78 of Fort Collins, Colorado died July 15, 2010 at home. A vigil service and recitation of the rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, July 19th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 300 W Mountain, Ft. Collins. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 9:30 AM Tuesday at St. Joseph's. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Germaine Curry Welch was born December 16, 1931 in Rochester, NY to James and Monica Welch. She graduated from Canneshius Nursing School in Buffalo, NY and worked as a Public Health nurse in the Rochester area. Gerry married Carl G. Haselmaier on June 26, 1954. They moved to Fort Collins in January of 1971 and immediately became active members of St. Joseph's Church. She was one of the founders of the Legion of Mary at St. Joe's and was active with the Parish Nursing Program. She also taught at Front Range Community College. Gerry is survived by her three children, Judy (Bill) Philpot of Green River, Wyoming, Jim (Kathy) Haselmaier of Fort Collins and Ann (Lou) Casale of Louisville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth (Paul) Stoffel, Michael Philpot, Andrea and Mark Haselmaier; David, Katie and Laura Casale; one great-granddaughter, Madelynn Stoffel; brother-in-law Alan Bock; sister-in-law, Rosemarie Bayer, along with various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; grandson, Matthew Philpot; and sister Patricia Bock. In lieu of flowers Gerry's family requests that any memorial donations please be made to St. Joseph's Church or to a charity of your choice in care of Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr., Suite E, Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
