Gordon R. Miller of Fort Collins left this world and entered into eternal life on Friday, March 21,2008. It is most appropriate that his passing occurred on Good Friday. He was born March 24, 1924 in Gayville, South Dakota, the youngest child of Sena Jacobsen and Sorn Miller. Gordon graduated from Grand View Seminary and was ordained a Lutheran minister on February 9, 1948 He served parishes in Colorado, Nebraska, S. Dakota, Iowa and Alberta, Canada. He was proud to celebrate his 60th anniversary of ordination on February 9th, 2008. During his service to the church he influenced countless people in ways both known and unknown. Survivors include his second wife, Dorothy Miller, children Linda (Jamie) Phillips of Cheyenne, WY, Rhonda (Godfrey) Pabo of Lihue, Hawaii, Duane Miller of Denver, and Ross (Trish) Miller of Berthoud, stepchildren Kathy (Tom) Boyce, Tom (Carol) Kramka, Linda (Ray) Swanson, and Jim (Anne Marie) Kramka, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one brother, Mark Miller of Yankton, S. Dakota. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Herdis Miller, a son, Dean Miller, brothers Hans and Carl Miller and sisters Sylvia and Verna Miller. A celebration of Gordon's life will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 2000 S. LeMay Ave. in Ft. Collins on Tuesday, March 25 at 11am. Cremation will be completed and cremains taken to Flaxton, ND for burial at a later date. Memorials may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or Hospice of Larimer County.
