Gregory Joseph Slusarczyk passed away in his home in Livermore, Colorado on Saturday, July 22, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was 60 years old. Greg was born to parents Joseph and Florence Slusarczyk.
Greg grew up in Chicago and earned a Master's Degree in Political Science. He eventually moved to Florida where he met and married Colleen. When their family was complete, they moved to Colorado where they built their dream home. Greg was a loving and devoted husband, a terrific father and a wonderful grandfather. He was an easy-going, hardworking man who enjoyed working with others at New Mercer Commons in Fort Collins. He had an amazing sense of humor and was a devout Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan (although he enjoyed all sports). He enjoyed playing baseball, coaching baseball, playing cards and Scrabble, and was a talented artist. He was a friend to all.
Greg is survived by his wife Colleen, daughter and son-in-law Danielle and Mike Nayes; daughter Jessica Codding; son Joseph Slusarczyk; his four grandchildren: Ayden, Danica, Adyson and Mileigh; his brother and sister-in-law Jim and Lois Slusarczyk; nephews: Brian (and Jennifer) Slusarczyk and Jim (and Lisa) Slusarczyk.
A service is planned for September 2017 for family and friends. The family appreciates all the thoughts, prayers, and love sent to them during this hard time. Monetary contributions, to help the family with expenses, can be made at
