Gretchen Forsyth Wolverton passed away quietly of natural causes accelerated by the long term effects of Alzheimer's in Fort Collins on June 6, 2026.
Gretchen was born in Worland, WY on February 23, 1944 to Edward William (Bill) Wolverton and Heiress Beatrice (Bee) Forsyth Wolverton. Gretchen's early childhood was spent across several states but called, Berthoud, CO her hometown, where she graduated from Berthoud High School in 1962.
Gretchen is survived by her two siblings, Van William Wolverton, Elizabeth Val Lambert; her three children, Christopher James Hardy his wife, Patricia (Hall) Hardy, Timothy Sean Hardy and his wife Charlotte V (Sargent) Hardy, and Shannon (Hardy) Harris and her husband, Timmy Ray Harris; and 7 grandchildren, Brittney Harris, Tray Harris, Alex Harris, Trinity Harris, Addison Sargent, Caleb Hardy, and Sage Hardy.
