Herbert "Herb" Perrine, age 89, of Berthoud, CO, formerly of Rahway, NJ died January 28, 2013.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at Cory Ragan Funeral Home, 259 Elm Ave., Rahway, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, 232 Central Ave., Rahway, NJ. Interment, with full military honors, conclude the services at St. Mary's Cemetery, Clark.
Herbert Charles Perrine was born September 8, 1923 in Rahway, NJ to Edward and Margaret Lake Perrine. He served in the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Pacific Theater of Operations during WWII. He served in Bataan and Craggador in the Philippines. After the war, a Disabled Veteran, he worked for many years maintaining the grounds and facilities for Merck and Company in Rahway. He retired to the Poconos and enjoyed painting and wood crafting and fishing on his lake in Milford, PA.
As their health failed, Herb and Ethel Guerrieri, his life companion, moved to Colorado to be near her son, Craig and his wife, Grace Guerrieri in Berthoud. Ethel survives, as do several nieces and nephews throughout the country.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donation be made in Herb's name to the Kingfisher Foundation in care of Halcyon Hospice, P. O. Box 177, Mead, CO 80542.
