Ida Marie Boone, a long-time resident of Fort Collins, CO died Wednesday October 26, 2022, at the age of 90.
Ida was born in a small apartment above a grocer on Larimer St in Denver, CO, in 1932. Her parents were Alvin and Goldie Brannan. She was the oldest daughter of nine children. Ida married Carl F. Boone on December 31, 1948, in Denver, CO. Ida held various jobs throughout her lifetime. She worked as a cook in a health care facility as well as a line worker for several manufacturers. She and Carl farmed and ranched in the Ault/Nunn area in northern Colorado. She was a very hard worker who always put her heart and soul into everything she did. She loved driving tractors and tilling the ground and raised large gardens.
Ida had many interests. She enjoyed photography and art projects. She loved writing. She worked on company newsletters and penned an extensive family history. She loved to sing and volunteered her time to sing with groups that visited nursing homes to entertain residents. She enjoyed her Bible reading. She was exceptionally dedicated to her large family.

Ida is survived by her son Carl F Boone (Kathy), her daughters Wendy J Kenna and Karen S Vath (Jay), nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sister Sandra Shields, brother Fred Brannan and sister Penny Merrick. Preceded in death by one son Ricky Alvin Boone, two brothers and three sisters.
Ida's life was celebrated at a family memorial service in Fort Collins on Sunday, October 30th, 2022. Ida will be greatly missed by family and friends. Her special memory will remain in our hearts forever.
