Inez Tomlinson, 93, of Fort Collins received her eternal reward on June 11, 2011 resting peacefully at home with her family by her side. Inez was born June 9, 1918 in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma. Inez graduated from Oklahoma State University, majoring in Dietetics and completed an internship in Oakland and San Francisco, California. Returning to Oklahoma State University she met the love of her life, B.L. "Tommy" Tomlinson, after sharing her baseball glove with him. Later in life they shared a hole-in-one on the same day, on the same hole, while playing golf at Collindale golf course in Fort Collins. They were married in Olathe, Kansas on September 3, 1946. Together they raised five children. Inez is survived by brother Ferris, son Jeff (Julie Rhoades), Jill (Merlin Prater), Jacalyn, Jeri (Greg Mauro), daughter-in-law Teri, 17 grandchildren, and two great grand children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy, three brothers, three sisters including her identical twin, Irene, son Jock and grandchild Lolita. A memorial service for Inez will be Tuesday, June 21st, 2:00 pm at Timberline Church, south auditorium with a celebration of both Tommy and Inez's lives to follow. Contributions can be made to Pathways Hospice. Inez will be remembered by her generosity, faith, strength, humility, love of sports, style and her values. She enhanced the lives of many.
