Dr. Giacomo "Jack" P. Caputo, of Sunrise Ranch, Loveland, Colorado, passed suddenly the morning of March 8, 2011. He was a friend to many and became a close friend to his patients who benefited greatly from his healing wisdom and experience, his reverence for serendipity and divine guidance. He inspired us to open our hearts – to each other – to the earth's beauty – and to our inner purposes. And Jack made us laugh! He is missed already, but will be so constantly remembered by all who have known him. His adventurous spirit included love of travel, fishing, camping, scuba diving and the outdoors. He couldn't sit still! He loved to collect wild mushrooms and would start scanning the late summer skies for signs of rain in the mountains so he could rush up to gather the sudden bursts of mushroom varieties. He grew his own herbs and was an excellent chef who wowed friends and family with his always unique creations. All who knew him will miss his larger than life personality and big generous heart. Jack was born January 7, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, to Diana and Frank Caputo. He lived his early life on Long Island, New York amidst a large Italian family. It was his father who first brought the family to Sunrise Ranch in Jack's childhood. The Emissaries of the Divine Light and the community of Sunrise Ranch have been consistent touch points for Jack throughout his life since then. The community has been inspiration and family, refuge and healing comfort for Jack. It was his father, himself a chiropractor, who encouraged Jack into chiropractic and Dr. Dick Versendaal's pioneering Contact Reflex Analysis and medical intuitive pursuits, all of which Jack was truly meant for! In his early years in practice he became a founding member of the Whole Health Institute and Fort Collins' Renaissance Business Group. He is survived by his brothers Salvatore (Debbie) Caputo and Francesco (Lisa) Caputo who are chiropractors in Plainview NY continuing their father's practice; and their children, as well as the many aunts and uncles and cousins who were such a vivid and loving part of his early life growing up in New York. The Caputo family and the "family of Sunrise Ranch" invite friends to join them for a celebration of Jack's life Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at The Dome Chapel, at Sunrise Ranch, 100 Sunrise Ranch Road, Loveland, CO. Live teleconferencing of the memorial service is available by dialing 605-475-6350 and enter code 091632#.
