Jack R. Meza

Jack R. Meza, 64, of Windsor, Colorado passed away on February 3, 2021 due to complications from surgery. Jack was born in Oregon in 1956, then he joined the military in 1974. He came to Colorado in 1980 and decided to make Colorado his home. He worked for Fritzler Farm, before becoming interested in solar power. He finally started his own solar business, The Solar Doctor and was very successful until 2000, when he and his wife Darlene moved to Oregon to help care for his father. There he started another business, Jack of all Trades, installing sprinkler systems.

Jack was a very adventurous man. He rock-climbed, caved, rode dirt bikes, and Harleys. I think he loved the adrenaline rush in gave him. Jack was always doing something; he was never a sit still kind of man until becoming ill. Then he hated the fact that he couldn't do the things he loved to do anymore.

Jack is survived by his wife, Darlene Meza of Windsor; son, Brandon Meza (Miranda) of Brighton; step-son, Jeremiah Tams of Loveland; sister, Wanda Foreman (Keith) of Oregon; sister, Yoli Lagrave of Oregon; granddaughter, Rylee Tams of Loveland; grandson, Braydon Tams of Loveland; sister-in-law, Debbie Kluge of Commerce City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Meza; mother, Mary Meza Wright; brothers, Arthur and Paul Meza; sister, Sylvia Schindele, father-in-law, Louis McWilliams; Mother-in-law, Bessie McWilliams; brothers-in-law, David and Daniel McWilliams; and sisters-in-law, Diana Torrez and Deloris Haddock.

Darlene will host a Celebration of Life on March 13, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at 1500 Tipton Dr, Building E (clubhouse), Windsor, CO 80550.
