Jackie Lee Moad passed on April 7, 2011. Born in Fremont, NE on June 6, 1940 to Bill and Agnes Moad. Jack's family traveled throughout his youth and he graduated from Fremont High School in 1957. Jack married his truest, cutest, and best friend ever, Judy Hanson on June 12, 1960. Together they owned and operated Nickerson Grocery in Nickerson, NE from 1959 to 1961. They moved to Boulder, CO in 1961 and gave birth to son Marty. In 1962, they moved to Fort Collins, CO where they were blessed with two more children, Matt and Marla. They built, owned, and managed North College Community in Fort Collins from 1962 until retirement 2009. Jack always had a good joke or story to tell. His passions were trapshooting - he was inducted into Colorado Trapshooting Hall of Fame, collecting rare lighters, coins, cigarette dispensers, and playing poker with the guys. Jack made many great life-long friends and enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Nebraska. Shortly after their 50th wedding anniversary, Jack lost his beloved wife Judy. He is also preceded in death by his parents; Brother David Moad; Son and Daughter-in-law Marty & Janet Moad; in-laws Clifford and Mabel Hanson. Jack is survived by Son Matt (Victor) of Las Vegas, NV; Daughter Marla (Bryan) Harkleroad of Port Orchard, WA; Three grandsons: Jeremy Moad of Fort Collins; Brysen and Beckten Harkleroad of Port Orchard, WA and many in-laws, nieces and nephews in Fremont, NE and San Antonio, TX Jack was a very special friend to us all and his memory will be cherished. Service will be held Thursday at 2pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7755 Greenstone Trail, Fort Collins In lieu of flowers, contributions can be donated to Jack & Judy's Grandchildren's College Fund in care of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
