Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Aesoph, age 81, of Windsor, CO, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, while in the care of hospice.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Faulkton, SD, with Father John officiating.
Jackie was born on May 2, 1943, in Orient, SD, to Leo and Bernice (Baloun) Aesoph. She grew up on the family farm in Orient, where she developed a lifelong love for learning and teaching. Jackie married William (Bill) Heber in 1964, and together they were blessed with their son, Troy, in 1977. Jackie was a dedicated educator who taught students of all ages, from elementary school through college, throughout her career. She spent numerous years inspiring students in the classroom, sharing a passion for learning that extended beyond the textbooks. Jackie had many talents and hobbies, including gardening, baking, sewing, and playing games with family and friends. She was known for her famous banana bread and her signature pork chop dinners, which brought loved ones together around the table. Jackie enjoyed playing games, listening to country music, and testing her skills with strategy games like Scrabble and cards.
Jackie's memory will be remembered by her son, Troy, and his wife Sarah Heber of Greeley, CO and two grandchildren, Alyssa Heber of Muskogee, OK and Joshua Heber of Greeley, CO. Sisters: Joan Bent and Karen Kusser, Brothers: David, Steve and Mike (Staci) Aesoph as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Bernice Aesoph; her sisters: Patricia McCloud and Virginia Kayser; and her brothers: Jerry, Bob, and Jeff Aesoph.
