James "Bear" G. Nalezinek

James "Jim" or "Bear" Nalezinek, age 70 of Fort Collins, CO died April 1, 2015. Cremation has been completed and a private gathering will be held to celebrate his life.

Jim was born in Vancouver, Washington on April 27, 1944 to John and Mary Nalezinek. He grew up in Wahoo, Nebraska and married Lana Eickmeyer on April 27, 1977 in Omaha. They have lived the past 37 years in Fort Collins. He owned and operated Carpet Express for many years in Fort Collins and was also co-owner with his wife, of Backyard Antiques in Wellington, CO.

Bear, as he was known by most of his friends, was an Auxiliary Member of the VFW Post #1781 in Fort Collins. He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Loveland Lodge #484 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Wahoo, NE. He enjoyed time with friends at each of the organizations and had a love for antiques

Jim is survived by his wife, Lana Nalezinek; two daughters, Jill Nalezinek Carlisle and Jamey Nalezinek, both of Thornton, CO; two sisters, Dorothy (and Gerald) Selden and Theresa Thoms, both of Nebraska; and four grandchildren, Parker, Leila, Reagan and Peyton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Nalezinek, twin siblings, Janet and Jerry and his daughter, Karen Mraz in January of 2012.
