James Loos, 61, Fort Collins, died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at his home. He was born September 21, 1947 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to John and Marie (Braun) Loos, who both predeceased him. He married Sandy Goodbrand in 1970 in Loyal, and they were later divorced. Jim attended Loyal High School and was drafted and served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War from 1966-1969. Upon returning home, he worked for Loyal Oil until he began working at Land O'Lakes in Spencer for 10 years. He also worked as a truck driver for Liberty Homes in Dorchester, before going out on his own transporting mobile homes. He was recently employed by Eagle Span in Fort Collins as an outside foreman. Jim is survived by his son Mike (Angela) Loos of Marshfield, WI, one granddaughter, Lindsey Loos of Marshfield, WI, 2 step-granddaughters, Erica and Breanna Foth, both of Marshfield, WI. He is also survived by his siblings: Rosemary (Gene) Kroening, Colby, WI, Bill Loos, Eagle River, WI, Sandy Loos, Chippewa Falls, WI, Charles (Julie) Loos, Loyal, WI, Dan (Carol) Loos, Sheboygan, WI and Kenneth (Cindee) Loos, Loyal, WI and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother, Steven Loos in 1973. There is a memorial service scheduled for Jim at the Ramada Inn, Mulberry and I-25 on Tuesday, August 18th at 5 p.m. There will also be a memorial service in his hometown of Loyal, WI on Friday, August 21st. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and will be deeply missed.
