James "Jim" Mccormick

James (Jim) Kent McCormick, 77, passed away on April 1, 2022 in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was born on July 7, 1944 in Junction City, Kansas to Thomas R. McCormick and Frieda (Schneider) McCormick.
Jim grew up in Junction City, Kansas. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1962. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After his Marine service, he attended and graduated from University of California Santa Barbara where he received a degree in Psychology. He worked for the City of San Diego for a number of years as a building supervisor and at St. Vincent de Paul as a counselor.
Jim is survived by his brother and sister in-law Tom and Julie McCormick of Fort Collins, CO; nephew Bill McCormick and niece Emily Morgan (Chad); great nieces Addie Morgan and Kendahl McCormick and great nephew Matt Morgan; and numerous cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his son Armine and his parents Thomas R. and Frieda McCormick. No funeral service will be held per his request. Cremation has been performed. A private burial will be at a later date.
