Richard Moss, 60 of Fort Collins, Colorado died New Years Eve, December 31, 2008 at his home. Cremation is planned and a memorial service/ and celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 10th at Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Drive, Fort Collins. Interment will be will be along side his family in Nashville, Tennessee. James Richard Moss, Jr. was born April 18, 1948 in Nashville, TN to James R. and Dorothy Moss. He grew up in Nashville and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. He served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War as a medic; a skill he continued with as a paramedic; first with the Thompson Valley Emergency Services in Loveland; and later with the Cheyenne Regional Emergency Services. He married Kathryn Kirkpatrick on September 4, 1982 in Fort Collins and his proudest thoughts were of and about his children as well as his love for them. When the Anheuser Busch plant opened, Rich began working on the loading dock; a job he retired from four years ago. Rich loved sports, especially football and all things outdoors. Years ago, he was a small aircraft pilot. He was an avid fisherman who also liked hiking, camping, skiing and exercising. Rich enjoyed life through his love for music, especially Rock. He was also an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. He is survived by his daughter Kari Moss and his son Adam Moss both of Ft. Collins; two grandchildren, Elijah and Angelina Hernandez; and his former wife, Kathryn. Rich was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy and his parents.
