James Pedrosa

Our James came into this world on April 9, 2004 and passed on August 31, 2022. He was uniquely beautiful, brilliant, and sincere. Always carrying his heart on his sleeve. Through his soft smile and humble nature, he touched many. James was known for his general respect and appreciation of… everything. He left a profound impact in his short time and his legacy of kindness and empathy will not be forgotten. The ripple effect of caring and helping others will continue on through his gifts of life.

James was a proud Fort Collins native and a recent graduate of Poudre High School. He was excited to pursue his passion in Engineering and recently joined the Oredigger community at Colorado School of Mines. He loved any opportunity to share his knowledge and teach anyone willing to listen.

He was devoted to his family; a dedicated big brother to his little sister and an adored son. He left behind his (father) John Joseph Pedrosa, (mother) Megan Abigail Russell, (sister) Madison Abigail Pedrosa, (MoJo and Nimi) William and Sandy Russell, (Nini, Uncle and Cousins) Nicole and Matt, Pierce, Teagan, Brynn Froman, (Poppy and Grammy) John and Janice Pedrosa, (Titi and Cousin) Annie and Derek Pedrosa, (his special family) Amanda, Dan, Kenzy, and Aiden Welsh/Keiswetter, and all those who loved him.

The family is grateful for the exceptional service and care received from the Medical Center of the Rockies Surgical ICU team and first responders at FCPD, PFA House 1, and UC Health whose compassion and support was unmeasurable and made a difference.
