God. Family. Service.

Jamie Rae Miller, 50, of Wellington, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Pathways in Fort Collins following a courageous journey with metastatic melanoma.

Jamie was born July 29, 1976, in Valencia, California, at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital to Barrie and Linda. She grew up alongside her sister, Angela, attending Meadows Elementary School and later Maricopa High School. She continued her education at College of the Canyons.

On January 28, 2012, Jamie married the love of her life, Aaron Miller, in Maui, Hawaii. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and faith.

Above all else, Jamie’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her beautiful daughter, Makayla. She loved her family fiercely, and being a mother was at the heart of who she was.

Jamie spent her life caring for others. She worked in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant and companion, dedicating herself to caring for special-needs children and individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Caring for others was more than Jamie’s profession—it reflected who she was. She had a heart for those who needed patience, kindness, understanding, and someone beside them.

Throughout her life, Jamie called Valencia, Pine Mountain Club, Fort Collins, and ultimately Wellington home. She loved the outdoors, especially paddleboarding and hiking, and music was an important part of her life. Her faith was central to who she was, and she treasured the fellowship and friendships she found through her church and women’s groups. She attended both The Filling Station in Wellington and City Point Church in Loveland.

Jamie also had a wonderfully silly sense of humor. She loved dad jokes, puns, and anything “punny”—the kind of humor that could make everyone around her laugh or groan, and usually both.

Jamie is survived by her husband, Aaron Miller; her beloved daughter, Makayla; her mother, Linda; her sister, Angela; her stepson, Calvin; her Aunt Deb; cousins Jared and Kim; her niece, Aerin; her nephew, Jaxson; and a large extended family and circle of friends who loved her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her father, Barrie; her grandmother, Nancy; her Aunt Carol; and her dear best friend, Carol.

Jamie’s family would like to express their profound gratitude to the team at Pathways for the tremendous compassion, dignity, and loving care they provided Jamie during her final days. Their kindness brought comfort not only to Jamie, but to the family who surrounded and loved her.

A celebration of Jamie’s life will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at The Filling Station in Wellington, officiated by Pastor Joshua Griffin.

A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins, where Jamie will be laid to rest. Family and friends are invited to return to The Filling Station at 4:00 p.m. for a reception and time to gather, share memories, and celebrate Jamie’s life.

If Jamie’s life could be described in three words, they would be: God. Family. Service.

She loved her God. She loved her family fiercely. And she spent her life caring for and serving others.

Jamie will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and remembered through the lives of all those fortunate enough to have been touched by hers.

In lieu of or in addition to flowers, those wishing to support Jamie’s family may contribute to the GoFundMe established to assist with her services and the continued care and support of her family.
