Sylvia Jane Davis, a long time resident of Fort Collins died peacefully in her home on March 19, 2012, the morning of her 91st birthday. Jane was born to Harold and Sylvia Beals in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. In 1942, she moved to California; and in 1956 she moved to her present home at 2500 S. Shields. She is survived by her devoted children: Richard Davis of California, Susan Miller of Greeley, William Boitano of Thornton, and Nancy Huffman of Oregon. Her son, Frank Davis, died this past December in Fort Collins. Grandchildren include: Pepe Davis, Jordi Davis, and Carmen Reid of California, Jane Stevens and John Miller of Greeley, Karen Bagley of Alabama, Kimberly Boitano of Lakewood, Ron Huffman Jr. and Elizabeth Huffman of Oregon. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, and one very devoted daughter-in-law Roberta Boitano. Jane's father built two duplexes on her property and Jane was a landlady to many tenants over the years. She was always busy with a variety of activities, one of which was being a talented knitter. She made numerous sweaters and afghans for extended family and friends. She enjoyed playing bridge and volunteering at the Fort Collins Senior Center. Jane was an active member of the local chapter of AARP and served on the Senior Advisory Board at the Senior Center from 1990-1995. Jane traveled to many countries around the world. She always had humorous stories to tell of her many adventures. She was well known for entertaining at her home. She made every holiday special for her family. The Easter egg hunt and the Christmas party were annual events for friends and family. Jane was always ready to lend a hand to friends and family in need. She had many friends she always kept in touch with from Pennsylvania, California and here in Fort Collins. She will be greatly missed by her entire family. A celebration of her life will be held at the Fort Collins Senior Center from 10:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. Sunday March 25th. 1200 Raintree Drive.
