Jarid Scott Brown, age 40, of Loveland Colorado, passed away on January 23, 2024 after a year-long battle with cancer. In his last days he was surrounded by family.
Jarid was born on October 3, 1983, in Fort Collins, Colorado to Karl and Cheryl Kovacich. He and his brother, Jayson, were later adopted by Thomas Brown about a year and half after the marriage of Thomas and Cheryl. Jarid was the youngest of 5, gaining 2 brothers and 1 sister.
While in middle school, it was decided to homeschool both he and Jayson. Jarid was excited. Not only to complete his education the same year as his brother with a certificate, but two years before his peers in public school!
Right after Jarid concluded his homeschooling, he entered the workforce. His first job was in the restaurant industry, then in retail and later he began working in maintenance. Because he was a hands-on kind of person, by and large he loved this type of work.
Jarid also loved the outdoors and often went camping or fishing with his brother Jayson. They were their own best friends.
During his teen years, he loved the Raiders. Later, he became a die-hard Bronco fan.
Jarid was married to Ashley Kaufman. Together they had 2 beautiful daughters.
Jarid is survived by his daughters, Avery Brown and Ellie Brown, common law spouse, Janelle Long (her children: Chase, Nevaeh and Skyler), siblings Denise Brown, Matthew Brown, Gabriel Brown, Jayson Brown and his father Thomas Brown.
