Jean Alice Anderson passed away peacefully, beautiful until the end, April 1, 2010 at Poudre Valley Hospital. Jean was born in Loveland, CO to Alex and Elizabeth Zimmerman. Jean grew up in Loveland as well as Cheyenne, Wyoming and was a graduate of Loveland High School. Upon graduation, she attended Sherwood Music Conservatory in Chicago, Il. Jean later became a stewardess for United Airlines. She married Glendon Anderson, and they moved to Ames, Iowa. Jean was an exceptional mother to her three young children in Ames, and was even named "Homemaker of the Year" by a prominent Iowa magazine. Jean and her family settled in Fort Collins in 1971, where she continued to live and finished the challenging task of raising her three children and tirelessly supporting them in their endless variety of academic, social, and sports-related pursuits. Throughout her life, Jean pursued a variety of personal interests, such as music, history, art, and cooking. Her deepest passion, however, was for her family, and her enduring legacy will be the love she poured into her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her father Alex and her brother Ron Zimmerman. She is survived by her son Eric Anderson and his wife Teresa, son Paul Anderson and his wife Dawn, daughter Sheralyn Bradley and her husband Steve, mother Elizabeth Zimmerman, dear friend and long-time companion Harvey Krantz, sister-in-law Phyllis Zimmerman, 9 grandchildren, and many dear friends and extended family. A funeral service for Jean Anderson is planned for 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 6, at Zion Lutheran Church in Loveland. The church is located at 815 E. 16th Street, in Loveland.
