Jeffrey Bridges

Jeffrey Miller Bridges, 50, of Fort Collins died Thursday, April 9, 2009. He was born in Dallas, Texas on January 23, 1959. He grew up in the greater Dallas area, primarily in Plano. He married Victoria (Blyholder) Bridges in 1990 and they soon after moved to Fort Collins. Jeff was an engineer by profession, but became a stay-at-home dad after the birth of their first child, Emma, and expanded this role to the adoring father of two children after Gregory's birth. Jeff continued this role until his death due to colon cancer. He is survived by his wife Victoria; children Emma and Gregory; mother and stepfather Frances and Wayne Blackley; father Charles Bridges; sisters Julie Kline and Jennifer Bridges; grandmother Frances James; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces. A celebration of Jeff's life will be from 4 pm – 6 pm on Sunday, April 19, 2009, upstairs at the Rio Grande restaurant. Please wear your favorite tee shirt in honor of Jeff. Please bring your memories and photos of Jeff to share. You can either pre-write your stories or we'll have cards available for you to write down your memories.
