Jerry Buttorff

October 16, 1944 – December 16, 2009 Jerry Buttorff, age 65, was born October 16, 1944 in Fort Collins to Helena and Earl L. Buttorff. He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1962 and attended Colorado State University, where he was an All American Football Player. He served in the U. S. Army, which included a tour in Vietnam. Jerry was CEO and owner of a marketing company, which he operated for 33 years with the love of his life, Sandy. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing with his many friends and could always be counted on to participate in any charity golf event. Other charitable interests included his passionate efforts to provide Christmas for local children. Jerry's tender heart extended to anyone in need, especially a lost or homeless pet. If he could not personally provide a home for them, they were provided for by his generous donations to ASPCA. He will be missed by countless friends and especially those he was willing to assist with opportunities of employment within his company. A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held at Mulligans, 2439 South College Ave. at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 27, 2009. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Manuel Cordova Memorial Fund.
