Joan Crouch

Fort Collins, Colorado, and former Redwood Falls, Minnesota resident, Joan "Joanie" Crouch, passed away with family at her side, on Monday, February 19, 2024 in Fort Collins. She was 85 years of age.

Joan Marie Weeks was born on March 27, 1938 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Glenna (Fendrick) and Clifton Weeks. She was raised on the family farm, full of love, and had the sweetest brother Tom, with whom to share it.

She graduated from Redwood High School with the class of 1956. She played the saxophone in high school and loved spending time with her many friends. After high school, she went on complete her Nursing degree at Methodist-Kahler University in Rochester, Minnesota.

Joanie worked 40 + years as an OR nurse. She ran one of the first heart-lung machines while in Memphis, TN. Joanie went on to spend many years working in the OR at Poudre Valley Hospital.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with her family and friends. She was an amazing cook, had a great sense of humor, and was a friend to all she met. She had an abiding Christian faith. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Preceding Joanie in death are her parents, her grandson, Erik Gonzales and her nephew, Alan Weeks. Those left to cherish her memory are her children JoBeth Hill of Thornton, CO and Chris Greer of Fort Collins, CO. She is also survived by her brother Tom Weeks and grandchildren, Brooxie Greer, Seth Hill, and Caden Hill. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Christian Wilson and Travis Wilson.

A visitation with Joanie's family will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 27, and Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM, at First Presbyterian Church, 531 S. College Ave., Fort Collins, CO 80524. A reception will follow services at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Joan's name to either the Larimer County Humane Society or Pathways Hospice, both of Fort Collins.
