JoAnn M. Maxton, 82, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed from this life on January 14, 2021.
JoAnn was born in Utah in 1938 to parents Joseph "Joe" Myers and Margaret Paluso. She grew up in Utah, before moving to California, where she graduated from Berkley High. She attended business school in Maryland, where she also married and started a family. JoAnn spent many of her formative years living with her aunt and uncle, Ann and Glenn Jackson, who both had a significant impact on her life.
In 1972, the family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, which became home. JoAnn was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Fort Collins, where she sang in the choir for many years. She also loved gardening in the beautiful Colorado sunshine; she enjoyed shopping; and she spent as much time as she could in the company of good friends and family.
JoAnn is survived by her son Jeff (Christine) Maxton, of Mission Viejo, California; daughter, Jennifer Maxton, of Milliken, Colorado; grandchildren Emily, Ashley, and Tommy Maxton; and brothers, Dr. Max G. Morgan and Tom Paluso.
A Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 9:00 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am, Thursday, January 21, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins.
