John F. Clark

d. Apr 4, 2024

John F. Clark went to be with Jesus, His Savior of 53 years on April 4th after suddenly being overcome with metastatic melanoma found across his body. He was surrounded by his family and is survived by his precious wife of 48 years, Julie Wilkins Clark, children Christina Joy and TJ Harris, Johnny Clark, Nicole Clark, and six grandchildren: Zachary and Wade Harris, Gatlyn, Jackson, Hendrick and Sage Clark, and sister Jan Huffaker (Dennis), and many other extended family members.

John was born in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Dorothy Clark and graduated from The University of Nebraska Lincoln with a music degree where he also met and married Julie. He was Principal Bassist of the Utah Symphony for 12 years before being called into full-time ministry. His 40+ years in ministry included Salt Lake Christian Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, Peoples Church of Salem, Oregon, and 25 years at Life Center in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2016, John and Julie retired to Colorado and enjoyed investing time and love into their children and grandchildren while finding new ways to minister and bless others.

John's life was characterized by excellence and generosity and can best be expressed through Psalm 33:3 "Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy" and Proverbs 11:25 "The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered."

A Celebration of John's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Southgate Church, Fort Collins. The service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person. Please access the livestream by following the link provided: https://southgate.church/
