John Christopher Crowfoot

Mar 18, 1944 — May 17, 2022

Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa, cousin, and friend was relieved of his earthly body on Tuesday May 17th, 2022.

John Crowfoot was born in Denver to parents Ione and Horace and sister Katie in 1944. He attended Mullen High School before spending 6 years in the Navy. He graduated from University of Colorado - Colorado Springs with an electrical engineering degree. In June of 1969 he married his wife of nearly 53 years, Barb. They shared two children - Adrian and Amy.

They have resided in Fort Collins since 1979 during which time both he and Barb were very active in their community and John worked for Western Area Power Administration. John supported his childrens' swim team at Village Green Pool by volunteering his time and announcing at swim meets, kept stats for the Rocky Mountain High School football team, was a member and officer of the Fort Collins Kiwanis Eye Openers club, and a member of the National Science Bowl committee. In addition, he was an avid supporter of both Rocky Mountain and Colorado State athletics. John retired from Western Area Power Administration after a long career.

He is preceded in death by his parents - Horace and Ione, father-in-law Donald Frick, brother-in-law Joe Bollig, mother-in-law Helen Frick, and his two best friends - Bob Stears and John Forman.

He is survived by his sister Katie Bollig, his wife Barb Crowfoot, his brother-in-law Dave Frick (wife Gail), his children Adrian Crowfoot (wife Jennifer), Amy Crowfoot (husband Jason Bray), his nephew Don Frick, his niece Anna Frick (husband Dustin Boyd), grandchildren Kyle, William, Greg, Lauren, and Lincoln and grand-nephew Owen Frick.
