John Richard Cynkar was 40 years old at the time of his death. He lived in Fort Collins, CO. He passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 9, 2018.
He is survived by his parents, LeRoy and Sheila Cynkar of Fort Collins, his sister Emily and her husband Steven Herff, their daughter Cecilia, his younger sister Sheila Lee Cynkar, her husband Bill Van Bang and their daughter Esme Lieu all living in Portland, OR. His grandparents Ed and Cecelia Cynkar of Sioux Falls, SD preceded him in death as well as his grandfather Patrick Owen Murphy of Sioux Falls. He has a grandmother Eileen Murphy living in Rock Rapids, IA and a multitude of uncles, aunts, and cousins living across this fine country. They all loved John very much and he will be sorely missed.
John was a gentle quiet soul who never had a harsh word for anyone. He loved his dog Aspen very much and she preceded him in death. He and Aspen would spend quiet times in the mountains camping and fishing. He was quite an accomplished fisherman and only kept those that were injured and would eat them for supper. All others were returned to the water. He enjoyed archery and starting the best campfires by using flint.
The words to describe John are kind, sweet, smart, caring, and a gentle soul. He had deep feelings for those that were down and out in this world and would help them in whatever way he could. If you were having car trouble by the side of the road, you can bet that John was one of those that would stop to see if he could help in any way.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of John's life on this earth will be announced later.
