John Pierce Deavours

John Pierce Deavours, age 67, of Fort Collins, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan 3, 2020.

John was born in Houston, Texas to John H. and Annette C. Deavours. He grew up in Houston and moved to Fort Collins in December of 2003. He was an active participant at Elderhaus, where he had many dear friends and joyful experiences. He also participated in Special Olympics Basketball division. He enjoyed birthdays and Halloween, dressing in costumes, and saying hello. He was known as "Johnny B. Good" to his friends.

When his health deteriorated, he moved to Spring Creek Healthcare Center. He also connected with the people he met at Spectrum Day Program and Foothills Gateway.

John was confirmed into the Catholic Church with great pride and devotion in 2018 by Father Joseph Toledo of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he made many friends, and was known to give the best hugs!

John was always quick to tell someone who was nice to him that he loved them. He is the dear little brother of Elizabeth who will forever remember his sweetness and kindness.

Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Goes Funeral Care in Fort Collins. Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
