John Edward Everding

John Edward Everding, 70 of Eaton, Colorado, formerly of Aurora, Colorado and Mishawaka, Indiana died July 16, 2017 in Fort Collins. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Art and Loretta Everding. John grew up in the Mid-West with his brothers Fred and Tom. Later, he proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sargent.

John married Susan Hernholm in 1968 and from that union, they were blessed with two precious children, Renee and Brian. John was the most devoted and loving father; as he raised his children by himself. He coached baseball and basketball in Mishawaka while his kids were growing up. He had a knack for motivating kids and winning sporting events. John was an avid golfer, he loved horse racing and was a die-hard Cubs fan. John had an amazing sense of humor and was the most loving and generous person; he would graciously help anyone in need. He was very intelligent and experienced; he devoted himself to his career in management in the moving and storage industry.

Later, he moved to Colorado to help care for his aging parents and be closer to his family. John is survived by his daughter, Renee (Curtis) Gould of Eaton, Colorado; son, Brian Everding of Parker, Colorado; brother, Fred (Jo) Everding of Arvada, Colorado; grandchildren, Bret Everding of Hyrum, Utah; Cash Gould, Billie Gould and Owen Gould of Eaton, Colorado.

Committal service with full Military Honors, 10:15 AM, Friday, July 28th at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 AM, Friday, July 28th at Restoration Church, 2300 South Marion Street, Denver. Please send flowers to the church, not the cemetery.
