John (Jack) Edwin Johnson, age 77 died peacefully on Friday September 25, 2009 at Fort Collins, Colorado. He was born August 21, 1932 to John Robert Johnson and Cora Eyre Johnson. He was born on his grandparents homestead near Cowley, Wyoming. He attended school in Lovell, Wyoming and Community College in Powell, Wyoming. On February 7, 1953 he married Bonnie Kendall in Billings, Montana; they were later divorced. They had six children, Lili Johnson, Bonnie Rene Arellano, John Steven Johnson, James Robert Johnson, Jeffrey Kendall Johnson and Aaron Kendall Johnson. On September 27, 1983 he married Patricia A. Meier in Loveland, Colorado. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Descendants of George Washington's Army At Valley Forge, and The 300th Armored Field Artillery Association. He served with the United States Army in the Korean War. He transferred to Colorado in 1983 from Libby, Montana with the Bureau of Reclamation as an employee of hydro-electric power plants. He was a structural ironworker and maintenance technician. He was also interested in classic cars and was a numismatist. He is survived by his wife, his children, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and brothers, Robert, James and Wendell and one sister, Myrna Walker. At his request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be at Grandview Cemetery at Fort Collins, Colorado. This will be at 11:00 am on Monday October 5, 2009.
