On Saturday April 25, 2020, John Michael Lawser, loving husband and father of one child, passed away at age 42.
John was born on July 7, 1977 in Fort Collins, CO to David and Patricia Lawser. He received his Bachelor's in Finance from Colorado State University in 2000, and worked for his father as an Insurance Agent for 25 years. On July 7, 2011, he married his best friend, Laura Elizabeth Lawser, and they were together for 10 years. They had a son together, Chance, who is now 6 years old.
John had a passion for movies, poker with friends, and making everyone around him laugh. His humor despite his many health struggles was one of his most amazing qualities and he touched many around him with his jokes and quick wit. John loved to dream and he never passed up an opportunity to buy a lottery ticket or set his next goal. John had numerous friends and was loved by many. He was the kind of guy that would hold the door for a stranger and make that person smile or laugh with his quick wit and infectious laugh. His motivation was largely to inspire others through his long battle with Cystic Fibrosis, multiple surgeries, and 3 organ transplants. He was a fighting spirit with incredible determination and a bright soul.
John is survived by his wife, Laura Lawser, his son Chance, his parents David and Patricia Lawser, and several cousins, aunts, and 1 uncle. John was a family man and he was proud of his marriage and son. Funeral services have been put on hold at this time due to the pandemic. Information on any possible services will be released when it is safe to gather in public spaces again.
