Jack was born January 23, 1939, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to John James and Esther Beffa O'Neill. Jack attended Saint Louis High School, Saint Louis University, and graduated from Saint Louis University Medical School in 1965.
He dated Patricia Ann Steffen in 1957. They married on "4/4/64." While still in Saint Louis, their first child, Erin, was born. After joining the Navy, in 1966 they moved to Great Lakes, Illinois, where daughters Maureen and Kelly were born. The young family was stationed in Keflavik, Iceland for two years, where they were blessed with opportunities to travel and explore Europe.
In 1972, the family settled in Fort Collins where Jack began his OB/GYN practice, sharing the joy of new life for 33 years in conjunction with his Catholic faith and beliefs. Though city-bred, Jack always had a farmer's heart, purchasing a family farm in nearby Timnath, CO, and, later, another in Eaton, CO, where he lovingly raised Simmental cows and developed a grassfed beef operation.
In 1979, the family was blessed with the addition of daughter, Tricia, in Fort Collins, CO.
Family experiences included travels around the world and wild adventures with cows, horses, and tractors. Jack was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a brilliant, kind, and faith-filled man. His sharing of these gifts with his family and those around him was a blessing and an inspiration.
Jack welcomed the additions of his eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He enjoyed bringing all generations together through trips to Mexico, Napa Valley, Georgia, Virginia, D.C., New Orleans, Florida, the Caribbean and Europe.
Jack is survived by daughters Erin (Bob) Boselli of Edwards, Maureen (Paul) Hartigan of Longmont, Kelly (Karl) Brown of Elizabeth, and Tricia (Michael) Wolpoff of Cypress, CA, and sister Mary Linda O'Neill Riffle of Saint Louis, MO. In addition, he is survived by grandchildren Meg Grell, Katy Hartigan, and Tara Hartigan Tovar; Kevin, Molly, and Sean Boselli; Jessica and Cody Brown; and Owen, Keaghan, and Bailey Wolpoff.
