John "Jack" W. Robinson, 79 of Fort Collins, CO died February 18, 2023 at Poudre Valley Hospital following a stroke the week prior. A private interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins.
John Wayne Robinson was born in Pine, CO in 1943, during a snowstorm, at home on the kitchen table because they could not get to Denver for his birth, to John C. and Mary Robinson. He was the youngest son of 4 boys. Jack married Judi on July 18, 1964, in Broomfield, CO. From this union, two daughters, Kristin and Laura, were born to begin their family. In 1967 they moved to Fort Collins and have lived in the same house ever since. His career was spent working for Ed Carroll Motors, first in Boulder, CO then as a parts manager for 40 years in Fort Collins.
Over the years, Jack volunteered for several organizations including the Larimer County Search and Rescue; Larimer County Dive Team; Rocky Mountain National Park; and the Food Bank of Larimer County. He and Judi enjoyed traveling the world together and spending time at their cabin in Cedar Springs.
A farm boy at heart, all of Jack's hobbies included gardening at home and at On the Vine, a local farm, and working around his yard. Being out of doors was who he was.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judi; two daughters, Kristin Harroun and Laura (and Jeremy) Leerssen; 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Corey, Courtney, Abby, Zach, and Jadyn; 10 great-grandchildren; and his oldest brother, Neil Robinson.
In lieu of flowers the family of Jack Robinson has established a memorial fund supporting local missions at Timberline Church, 2908 S. Timberline Rd. Fort Collins, CO 80525. Checks may be made payable to Timberline Church with a memo specifying "Local Missions in Jack's memory".
