John William Austerberry Sr. died on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his home in Wellington, CO after a lengthy illness with Parkinson's Disease.
John served our country in the Navy aboard the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War. He left the Navy with an Honorable Discharge and wed his sweetheart, Mary; a marriage that lasted 52 years. They had two children, John Jr. and Beth Ann. John worked hard as a glazier for many years and then switched careers and became a Community Service Officer for the City of Fort Collins for over 21 years, where he was able to touch many lives. He will be remembered as a caring and hard-working husband, father, and grandfather.
John is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Beth, and granddaughter Halle of Wellington, CO. He was preceded in death by his son, John Jr. in December 2017.
