Jordan Matthew Adkins, sadly passed away on the evening of Monday, October 19th at the age of 21 in Fort Collins. He was born on April 25th, 2005, in Estes Park, where he lived most of his childhood. He then moved with his family to Fort Collins where he lived for the past 8 years. He is survived by his mother, Haven Schulz; his older sister, Chanel Adkins; his older brother, Jesse Adkins; his grandparents, Jane and Jon Schulz; his great aunt, Cynthia Reedy; his aunt, Hollyn Price; his best friend "hubby" Mar Laurienti; his girlfriend, Kaitlyn Barrentine; his good friend, Caity Chudzinski, and countless other friends and loved ones.
As a child, Jordan loved taking trips to see his grandparents at their home in Paonia, laughing and creating unforgettable memories with his big sister, playing video games, and really enjoyed Nerf guns, Hot Wheels, and building Legos.
Jordan spent his adult life being with and caring deeply about his friends and family, working on his beloved car (the Pieces Mobile), collecting knives, learning about firearms, and working at the local Kava bar where he made many dear friends. He graduated with his Colorado State Diploma in 2023. His dream career was to be a gunsmith and designer. He planned to first sign up to Sonoran Desert Institute and start small by making firearms in his free time while working as an apprentice at a gunsmith company. He didn't get the chance to follow that dream, but those close to him knew he would have been brilliant in that field.
Jordan cared deeply about everyone, believed that everyone deserved to be treated fairly and with equality. He left a final message to be shared with the world.
"There is public knowledge available to all, please do your own research, rise and fight back against injustice. Our lives have become saturated with too much evil. Please, for the sake of everyone, friends, family, loved ones, open your eyes and protect kids, women, men, trans, anyone who deserves a life worth living. [Individuals convicted of serious crimes such as child abuse and sexual assault must face the full extent of the law to protect and ensure the safety of our youth and society.] Save the kids, save the world! Please!"
Rest easy Jordan, you will be forever missed and deeply loved.
