Joseph Allen Freeman (Joey,Joe) was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on February 14th, 1982. He left this world May 11th, 2019.
Joey was a big hearted, goofy guy who could start a conversation in any room and everyone was an instant friend. If Joe made you a friend he would go to the end of the world to give you the shirt off his back. He cared for everyone like they were family. Joey had a rare sense of humor and always found the funny side of things even if the timing or situation may not be appropriate. You could count on him to make you laugh in some way. Joe always looked at the world from a different point of view and often times made you say hmm . His heart was so big and easily broken but it never stopped him from loving everyone he touched. Joey was the youngest in his family and will always and forever be the baby brother.
Joseph was survived by his Life Partner Devin Powers; his brothers Gerald Speakman, of Ohio, and Larry (Rodonna) Freeman, of Kansas; his sisters, Corrinn Williams, of North Carolina, Missy (Paul) Daves, of Colorado, and Jessi Freeman, of Colorado; 9 nephews, Brent, Rucker, Cody, Dinnin, Brock, Larry II, Samuel, Alerich and Aremis; and 7 nieces, Kelsey, Tina, Jamie, Mackenzie, Rose, Braylee, and Dakota
He was preceeded in death by both sets of grandparents; one uncle; mother, Lois Freeman; father, Carroll Freeman; and brother, Donald Freeman.
A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held at 1pm in Lion's Park open space in Laporte, Colorado on Sunday, May 19th. Please bring stories and pictures to share as this will be an informal service to honor his life.
