Joseph F. Mikos, Jr., 59 of Loveland, Colorado, formerly of Ft. Collins and Craig, CO. passed away August 13, 2024 at the Pathways Hospice Inpatient facility after a 5 month long illness.

Joe was born in Chicago, Il, on May, 21st 1965 to Patricia (nee Schulget) and Joseph Mikos, their only child. His father passed when Joe was only 18 years old. His mother remarried Don Hale in 1991 and Don became Joe's wonderful father.

Joe served in the Navy from 1983 through1987 and was stationed on the USS Cape Cod. Joe worked in various fields throughout his life; he was a certified deep sea diving instructor, built new boats while living in Key West, Florida. After living in Key West he moved back to Colorado. He then worked for Anheuser-Busch as well as being a Deputy Sheriff for Moffat County. He was part of the volunteer firefighters in Moffat County as well. While living in Loveland Joe worked for an oil supply company. He was an avid fisherman, a very creative and artistic person, a gold panning enthusiast, a great hunter and an amazing cook.

In Joe's younger days his claim to fame was being a road manager for the band, A Flock of Seagulls.

Joseph was a wonderful father to his daughter, Mia, a nursing student in Greeley, CO; loving son of Pat and Don Hale of Loveland, CO. He is also survived by his stepsisters; Shelly (the late Cory) Eikenberg of Wiggins, CO. and Becky (Andrew) Rockwell of Marana, AZ. and several nieces and nephews as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Joe was a best friend to many.

A celebration of Joe's life is being planned for Sunday, September 8th 2024. For additional information please contact the family.
