Juanita (Jaye) Rosemma Holloway, 82, died Friday, September 23 in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born Juanita Rosemma Prusha in Chicago, IL on July 11th, 1929. She was raised in the Chicago area until her college years where she attended the University of Arizona receiving her bachelor degree in English and Education. Jaye then attended Midwestern State in Texas to advance her teaching degree. Juanita married Willard Holloway in 1952 and served as an Air Force wife through both the Korean and Vietnam wars. She taught elementary school in Japan while stationed there. She continued teaching in Texas upon returning stateside, specifically Kindergarten in El Paso and then Colorado in a substitute position. She maintained her teaching credentials through Front Range Community College in Colorado. Juanita loved classical music and was an accomplished pianist and flutist, playing the flute with the Chicago Symphony during her time in Chicago. She also was a "fish", loving to swim and dive. She loved to embroider, knit, sew and cook, getting great satisfaction out of creating beautiful things. Juanita returned to Tucson, Arizona in the early 1980's only returning to the Denver, CO area in 2006. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John F Prusha and Erna Prusha, her sister Lois Plumblee and ex-husband Willard Holloway. She is survived by one son Clifford Holloway of Westmister, CO; two daughters, Karen Holloway of Poughkeepsie, NY and Linda Walde of Cheyenne, WY; and seven grandchildren. Private family services will be held.
